Reading for pleasure is to the brain what eating broccoli is to the body. It’s the best thing you can do to make progress academically, especially over the summer.

Choosing books for kids is tricky, and in the last decade, a trip to the bookstore has become even more challenging. While some of the very best books for kids have been published in the last decade, there is also an amazing amount of truly trashy, frighteningly awful books being marketed to young teenagers and preteens. Tutoring

One of the most helpful things you can do for a young student who is struggling in school is to hire a good tutor.  Often, this is the crucial catalyst needed to get a student on the road to independent success in school.  A third party (the tutor) can be just the right voice with the right message at the right time.  I’ve seen it so many times; I’m a big believer in the effectiveness of a good tutor.
